Abstract

When up going transmission is discontinuous in wireless communication system, the method obtains adjustment parameters of step size larger than or equal to zero for controlling power based on SBGP parameter. The method takes regular step size for controlling power plus the obtained step size as the new step size for controlling power to control down going power. Without need of special signaling to support in communication process, the method adds step size for controlling power in discontinuous transmission based on SBGP value so as to optimize down going step size for controlling power when up going transmission is discontinuous. Advantages are: optimizing operation based on different SBGP, enhancing effect of power control as well as not influencing power control when system is in state of discontinuous transmission.
