Abstract

A cup holder for a vehicle is fixed in the vehicle to support the cup. The cup includes a housing mounted on a wall of a cup holder, the cup holder having a receiving groove for accommodating the cup, the housing having a first guide rod groove formed therein; a guide rod movably mounted in the housing to entering and exiting a first guide rod slot, the guide rod having a second guide rod groove corresponding to the first guide rod groove; and a spring for restricting the guide rod from entering and exiting the first guide rod groove of the housing. When the cup is inserted into the cup holder, the upper part of the guide rod is prevented from disengaging from the housing even when additional force acts on the cup holder guide rod, so that the cup holder can safely support the cup.
