The present invention relates to a method, system and computer program for distributing objects at locations, in particular for distributing components and materials to different locations of an assembly line. Control data is provided to control distribution of the objects (12) on the object delivery unit (10), the control data including data indicating when the instructions should be executed. Depending on the control data, a list is generated indicating the order in which the objects (12) should be located on the object delivery unit (10). An object (12) is placed on the object delivery unit (10) according to the list, and the object delivery unit (10) is moved to the position.
