Abstract

This invention discloses process and apparatus for producing Al2O3, especially relates to process and apparatus for mixing slurry in autoclaving and stripping process of Al2O3 production. The process comprises: sending stripping slurry to a diluting kettle, and mixing with red mud wash liquor and aluminum hydroxide wash liquor in the diluting kettle. This invention utilizes the diluting kettle as a substitute for diluting tank, thus can avoid material stripping phenomenon caused by secondary steam flash evaporation, and ensure the tightness of the system. An electric butterfly valve is set at the gas exhaust pipe of the diluting kettle, which can effectively adjust the liquid level fluctuation in the diluting kettle, and can protect the apparatus under overpressure of the system.
