Abstract

An input mode switching method and an electronic apparatus are disclosed. A plurality of optional input modes are provided for character input. A subset of the input modes is selected as the total options selectable through a first control interface during character input. The invention can reduce the selectable input mode in the period of character input or before. The simplification of the input mode list can be operated automatically based on the usage of each input mode. The mode switching sequence may be adjusted automatically based on the usage of each input mode. Therefore, the switch among the needed input modes can be easier and need less switching operation.
