Abstract

An information signal processing device and the like that can be suitably applied to a digital broadcast receiver or the like. A classifying part (130) produces a class code (CL) indicative of a class to which pixel data (y) of interested position in an image signal (Vb) belong. Difference data (DF)(encoded-noise correction data) corresponding to the interested position is read, based on the class code (CL), from a storage table (131). Pixel data (x) (pixel value or DCT coefficient) corresponding to the interested position in the image signal (Vb) is supplied to an adding part (134). The adding part (134) adds the difference data (DF) read from the storage table (131) to the pixel data (x), thereby providing pixel data (y) of the interested position in the image signal (Vb). In this pixel data (y), the encoded noise (encoded distortion) has been reduced.
