[0023] The present invention provides a delivery system for a bifurcated stent or other prosthesis having a main body and side branch portions or holes. The term "side branch portion" includes any opening or structure in the body which, when the body is in the main lumen or vessel, will align with the ostium of a side branch lumen or vessel. The side branch portion may be a simple hole in the form of a grid or slit in the prosthetic structure, preselected to align with the side branch vessels, but otherwise similar to other grid structures in the prosthesis , slit or similar. More typically, however, the side branch portion will be an enlarged or expandable lattice structure, which can be distinguished from the connecting or remaining structure of the prosthesis.
