Problems solved by technology

If the service option cannot be processed by the system, that is, it is illegal, the service cannot be completed and the call fails
There are two cases of illegal business options: one is not stipulated in the agreement, and the system cannot handle it; the other is stipulated in the latest agreement, and relatively new terminals will bring this kind of business option, but the system is still unable to handle it. No support for this new business option has been implemented
[0008] Due to the fact that there are many manufacturers of terminals, in practical applications, it is often encountered that some terminals carry illegal service options (SO) when making a call or being called, causing the call service to fail.

example 1

[0035] Example 1: The user initiates a call with an illegal service option.

[0036] Referring to FIG. 2 , it illustrates the process of a user terminal failing to initiate a call using an illegal service option. As shown in Figure 2, the process includes the following steps:

[0037] S202, the user uses the mobile terminal (MS) to initiate an origination call, and sends an origination message (Origination Message) to access the base station (BS) through the air interface access channel. The service option (SO) carried in the message is 15, indicating that the data service goes online.

[0038] S204, the base station responds with a base station acknowledgment message (Base Station Ack Order) indicating that the call initiation message sent by the terminal is received.

[0039]S206, the base station (BS) finds that the system cannot handle the service option, searches the illegal SO conversion configuration table, and there is no match, the base station (BS) refuses the servi...

example 2

[0045] In the second instance, the paging response of the called user carries an illegal service option.

[0046] Referring to FIG. 4 , it illustrates the process that the user terminal fails to be called using an illegal service option. As shown in Figure 4, the process includes the following steps:

[0047] S402, the network side needs to page a certain user terminal, and the mobile switching center sends a paging request message (Paging Request) to the base station (BS).

[0048] S404, the base station sends a paging message (PageMessage) to the terminal through an air interface paging channel.

[0049] S406, the terminal responds to a paging response message (PagingResponse) after receiving the paging message, and the service option (SO) carried in the message is 32769.

[0050] S408, the base station responds with a base station confirmation message (Base Station Order) indicating that the paging response message sent by the terminal is received.

[0051] S410, the bas...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a base station which are compatible with an unusual terminal; wherein, the method comprises that an illegal service option conversion list is configured in the base station, when the base station judges that the service option of the terminal which is carried by a calling message or a called response message is the illegal service option, the base station converts the service option of the terminal into corresponding legal service option according to the illegal service option conversion list, and the base station provides services for the terminal according to corresponding legal service option. The invention can solve the terminal compatibility problem in practical application. Furthermore, the invention can be also applied to the mobile communication system of other various technical standards.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of communication, and more particularly relates to a method and a base station compatible with abnormal terminals. Background technique [0002] In the cellular mobile communication system, the commonly used terms 1G, 2G, and 3G refer to the classification of the development stages of mobile cellular communication technology. [0003] The first generation mobile communication system (1G) is an analog cellular mobile communication system, which was put into commercial use in the early 1980s. The typical representative is the Advanced Mobile Phone Service (AMPS) in the United States. The second-generation mobile communication system (2G) is a digital cellular mobile communication system widely used at present. It was commercialized in the early 1990s, including the IS-95 CDMA system proposed by Qualcomm in the United States, the European Global System for Mobile Communications ( GSM). The mainstream technology...
