[0012] The present invention relates to a sub-low frequency transducer, ie, a transducer capable of effectively reproducing the lowest two-octave music in the range from about 20 Hz to 80 Hz. The transducer of the present invention has a concave diaphragm (or paper cone). The perimeter of the diaphragm may be rectangular or square. Alternatively, the perimeter of the diaphragm may be circular or oval. A rectangular shape maximizes the diaphragm area relative to the housing (which is also usually rectangular) and thus maximizes air displacement in the loudspeaker.
