Abstract

A method of forwarding data comprises the following steps: (a) after a source ENB decides to switch UE to a target ENB, a switch request message is sent to the target ENB, wherein the switch request message comprises the difference value between a GTP-U serial-number and a PDCP serial-number; and (b) the target ENB figures out the PDCP serial-number of a corresponding data packet according to the difference value of the step (a) and the GTP-U serial-number of a received data packet. Through the method of the invention, the problem of using a signaling to inform that the next PDCP serial-number is transmitted to the UE data is avoided, so as to forward the data more effectively and more conveniently.
