Embodiment Construction

[0031] The invention can be implemented in various ways. Further description will now be made by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0032] Creels generally include a plurality of yarn packages placed in a grid in a frame. Each yarn package is placed in a predetermined area of the frame, each area being substantially identical and conforming to the creel described herein.

[0033] Such as figure 1 A preferred embodiment of the creel is shown, which includes a yarn package 2 mounted on a yarn package holder 4, and a yarn guiding mechanism. Such as Figure 4 As shown, the yarn guiding mechanism comprises a first yarn guiding device 6 , a second yarn guiding device 8 , a third yarn guiding device 9 , a fourth yarn guiding device 10 and a pivoting element 12 which can rotate around a pivot shaft 14 . The yarn 16 is led out from the yarn package through the first, second, third and fourth yarn guides and through the creel.

[0034] The yarn package ...

Abstract

A creel includes a yarn package (2) of the rotational type, which is mounted on a yarn package holder (4), and yarn guiding apparatus. The yarn guiding apparatus includes a (5) first (6), second (8), third (9) and fourth (10), yarn guiding means. The first yarn guiding means is attached to a first end of a pivoting member (12). The pivoting member pivots about a point (14) spaced from the first end. (10) In use yarn is drawn from the yarn package and about the first, second, third and fourth yarn guiding means. The yarn is unwound by applying tension to the yarn. During unwinding, the point at which the yarn leaves the yarn package traverses axially back and forth across the yarn (15) package. Because the first yarn guiding means (6) is free to rotate about the pivot (14), the tension in the yarn act to move the first guide means (6) to a position substantially in alignment with the point at which the yarn leaves the yarn package.

Description

technical field [0001] This invention relates to creels, and more particularly to improvements in the supply of yarn from yarn packages on creels. Background technique [0002] It is common for creels to place coiled yarn packages on a rotating horizontal axis. Patent EP0567497 discloses a creel comprising a horizontally installed yarn package from which the yarn can be drawn out horizontally or vertically and supplied to the next processing step through a yarn guide. The yarn guides can be rollers and pins. The next processing step may be a fabric production step. The relatively freely rotatable yarn package enables yarn unwinding by applying tension to the yarn. [0003] US Patent No. 5,803,134 discloses a braking mechanism. When the tension in the yarn decreases due to a break in the yarn or a feed stop of the feeding machine, the brake mechanism can automatically stop the rotation of the rotating shaft of each yarn package. The braking mechanism consists of two hori...
