Abstract

The invention discloses a method for a BSP route to achieve hardware lookup in a distributed route subsystem, wherein the technical proposal is expanded on the basis of an existing route subsystem of BDCOM, and considering that a BGP route needs to do secondary lookup, then a next true jumping hole can be found. The consideration can not cause confused to transmit through CPU software, however, aBGP route needs to be written in a hardware transfer table of a line card in order to improve the transmitting efficiency of messages, however, an existing switching chip does not support secondary route lookup, then, a true next hop can be further written in the hardware transfer table through adopting the technical proposal of the invention. The lookup of an actual route which goes on in a processor of each line card is finally achieved when BGP routing protocol which goes on in a central processor module of a main control board.
