Embodiment Construction
[0021] According to FIG. 1 , the electrohydraulic system 18 for controlling the hydrodynamic retarder 9 has a control and regulating unit 17 , a hydraulic circuit 5 , valves 4 , 8 , 10 , 11 and a common hydraulic system 23 . The hydraulic circuit 5 has a hydraulic pump 1 , a filter 19 , a heat exchanger 2 , and an on-off valve 4 . Furthermore, the control and regulation unit 17 is connected to temperature sensors 20 , 21 and to a pressure sensor 22 . The oil temperature is monitored by a first temperature sensor 20 and the temperature of the vehicle cooling system 3 is monitored by a second temperature sensor 21 . A pressure sensor 22 is provided to be able to monitor the actuating pressure for the gear unit 9 . The control and regulation unit 17 can preferably be connected to a controller area network (CAN) 24 . Furthermore, the valves 8 , 11 can be controlled by the control and regulation unit 17 . The first valve 8 can be used as a safety shut-off valve and the second va...
