Under the condition that high-voltage capacitor bearing pressure cannot be obtained directly, calculate periodic crest voltage on the high-voltage capacitor precisely through sum of each subharmonic electrical current that can be measured; under the condition that bearing voltage peak exceeds allowable range, send warning or trip information on time to prevent the high-voltage capacitor from being breakdown and damaged. The outstanding feature of the invention is to increase independent loop realization on original protecting equipment platform without improving sampling frequency of the protecting equipment and CPU calculate burden greatly, and avoid exorbitant hardware cost. Compared with original over current protection scheme, the new scheme grasps the underlying cause of the damage of the high-voltage capacitor, protection criterion is clearer and more direct with higher precision, the protection effect is better and is worth to be widely promoted.
