Abstract

The invention discloses a device and a method for determining multi-touch positions of a projected capacitive touch panel, which are used to solve the problem that the projected capacitive touch panel in the publicly known art cannot determine multi-touch positions completely. The invention provides a device for definitely determining the multi-touch positions by using a search table, wherein thecontent of the search table contains the combinations of the comparison of x values of an X coordinate and the comparison of y values of a Y coordinate of each touch of the multiple touches. The method finds out the multi-touch positions by mapping with the search table. Compared with the prior art, the method avoids any increase in hardware cost and is an extremely convenient method.
