A timestamp and a relocation authorization token are provided in a source Foreign Agent (FA); the timestamp and relocation authorization token is communicated between the source FA and a target FA, if a Proxy Mobile IP (PMIP) client is to be handed over to the target FA; the PMIP client verifies the FA relocation using the timestamp and relocation authorization token; and if the verification is successful, the PMIP client registers to the target FA.
