Abstract

The method is applied to a local terminal device and an opposite terminal device with the relationship of the direct-connecting EBGP neighbors, and comprises the following steps: selecting one of the direct-connecting EBGP neighbors between the local terminal device and the opposite terminal device as a main neighbor; when the local terminal device needs to advertise routes to the customer device, only sending the route advertisement to the opposite terminal device through the main neighbor in the direct-connecting EBGP neighbors, and refreshing the routes by the opposite terminal device through the route advertisement. The invention reduces the quantity of routes to be maintained and the quantity of routes to be transmitted among a plurality of pairs of devices with the relationship of the direct-connecting EBGP neighbors, and can filter redundant routes without configuring a route filtering strategy.
