Embodiment Construction

[0012] Fig. 1 is a diagram showing a synchronizing device according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1 , the synchronization device 1 includes a demultiplexer 10 , a memory 11 , a comparator 12 , and a sampling rate converter (SRC) 13 . The splitter 10 receives a bit data stream S10 from a transmitting end (not shown in FIG. 1 ). The bit stream S10 includes a packetized elementary stream (PES), a transport stream (TS), and a program stream. The program clock reference (PCR) in the transport stream TS is used to establish the system time clock (STC) of the receiving end. The presentation time stamp (PTS) contained in the elementary data packet PES allows the receiving end to identify the playing time of the elementary data packet PES.

[0013] The separator 10 extracts elementary stream packets PES from the bit stream S10 and writes them into the memory 11 . The comparator 12 obtains the presentation time stamp PTS from the elementary data stream ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a synchronizing device, which has system time clock (STC), generates output data with a first sampling rate, and comprises a memorizer, a separator, a comparer and a sampling rate converter. The separator receives bit data stream, and captures a packetized elementary stream (PES) from the bit data stream. The separator writes the packetized elementary stream (PES) into thememorizer. The comparer acquires presentation time stamp (PTS) from the packetized elementary stream (PES) and compares the presentation time stamp (PTS) and the system time clock (STC). The samplingrate converter samples the packetized elementary stream (PES) in the memorizer, and generates output data according to the packetized elementary stream (PES). The sampling rate converter changes conversion coefficient thereof according to the comparison result of the comparer.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a synchronization device, more particularly to a sound / image signal synchronization device. Background technique [0002] In digital broadcasting applications, audio / image synchronization is very important. The transmitter transmits the bit data stream to the receiver. The bit stream includes a packetized elementary stream (PES), a transport stream (TS), and a program stream. The program clock reference (PCR) in the transport data stream TS is used to establish the system time clock (STC) of the receiving end. The presentation time stamp (PTS) included in the elementary data packet PES allows the receiving end to identify the playing time of the elementary data packet PES. However, there is a slight difference between the system frequency STC at the transmitting end and the system frequency STC at the receiving end. In particular, as the time required to complete the transfer increases, the system frequency STC diff...
