Abstract

The invention relates to an electronic program list server which is connected with a medium software server and a set top box in a communication mode. The electronic program list server comprises a sending module, a receiving module and a conversion module, wherein the sending module is used for sending an electronic program list request to the medium software server to require the medium softwareserver to send back different formats of electronic program lists; the receiving module is used for receiving the electronic program lists of the different formats from the medium software server; the conversion module is used for combining and converting the electronic program lists of the different formats into the electronic program lists of a uniform format; and the sending module is also used for sending the electronic program lists of the uniform format to the set top box.
