Embodiment Construction

[0017] The present invention relates to nonwoven materials for use as body facing layers in absorbent articles such as figure 1 As shown, it comprises at least two layers 2, 3 bonded to each other, wherein the first layer 2 comprises spunlaid filaments 4 and the second layer 3 comprises staple fibers 5 having a thickness of ≤ 1.5 dtex and the filaments 4 has a thickness > 2.5 dtex. The nonwoven material may be used in absorbent articles, in which case the second layer 3 comprising staple fibers 5 rests against the user during use. The part of the ply comprising fibers with a thickness < 1.5 dtex is soft and comfortable to the user due to the thinner staple fibers 5 . At the same time, the first layer 2 comprising relatively coarser filaments 4 than the short fibers 5 has good liquid introduction properties. The body facing layer 1 has a soft surface layer, ie a second layer 3, in combination with a first layer 2 comprising filaments. The fibrous layer 2 may act as a transfe...

Abstract

A nonwoven material including at least two layers integrated into each other, for use as a body facing sheet in an absorbent article. The first layer includes spunlaid filaments and the second layer includes staple fibres. The staple fibres have a thickness ≰1.5 dtex, and the filaments have a thickness ≧2.5 dtex. Further, an absorbent article, such as a sanitary napkin, panty liner, incontinence protector or diaper can include the nonwoven material as a body facing sheet.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a nonwoven material for use as a body-facing layer in an absorbent article and an absorbent article comprising the nonwoven material. Background technique [0002] Absorbent articles often comprise a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impervious backsheet, and an optional absorbent airlaid layer disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The top sheet can be made of two layers of spunbond filaments of thickness 3dtex. A very good liquid introduction function is achieved by this material. However, the top sheet of spunbond filaments / spunbond filaments is not comfortable enough for the user due to the roughness of the filaments and the insufficient softness of the ply. Thus, the rough filaments provide good incorporation properties, but the softness is not satisfactory. Finer filaments make the layer softer, but this layer has a poorer inductive function. The use of filaments (such as cotton, viscose, lyocell) ...
