Embodiment Construction

[0030] figure 1 A top view of an embodiment of a heat exchanger according to the invention is shown. The heat exchanger comprises a rotor 1 whose upper face side (8a; cf. image 3 ) is shown. Said rotor 1 comprises a circumferential or outer shroud 2 and a segment 3 . The rotor 1 is held rotatably about a central axis 4 indicated by an arrow in a housing 5 , only part of which is shown here. A bridge 6 extends across the upper face side 8a of the rotor 1, which bridge separates the gas volume flow through the region on the right side of the rotor 1 from the gas volume flow on the left side of the rotor 1, wherein the radial seal is arranged on its side facing the rotor 1 On the bottom side, this prevents short circuit volume flows between these gas volume flows. A partially elastic circumferential seal 7 , which completely surrounds the rotor 1 , is applied radially from the outside on the circumferential shield 2 of the rotor 1 . In the embodiment shown, the hoop seal 7 ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a heat exchanger, especially a regenerative heat exchanger, which comprises a storage heater arranged as a rotor; the rotor is kept to be able to rotate around the central rotation axis, and at least one air volume flow of heat energy passing through the rotor is transferred to at least another one air volume flow passing through the rotor. The heat exchanger also comprises at least one surrounding seal for sealing the circumference of the rotor; for improving the sealing of the heat exchanger, the surrounding seal is mounted on a surrounding shield of the rotor from outside by sealing mode, preferably located at the region on a working surface side of the rotor; wherein the surrounding seal is disposed flexibly in the region.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a regenerative heat exchanger, which is particularly suitable for use in power plants. Background technique [0002] Such regenerative heat exchangers mentioned above (hereinafter simply referred to as heat exchangers) are used for heat transfer from at least one gas volume flow to at least another gas volume flow. In this process, a rotating (or rotating) storage medium (e.g. a heat accumulator), the so-called rotor, is heated by at least one gas volume flow and cooled by at least another gas volume flow in an alternating manner, Thermal energy is thereby transferred from one gas volume flow to the other gas volume flow. In this way, one of the gas volume flows can be heated while the other gas volume flow can be cooled. The rotor comprises two face surfaces (or face sides), a circumferential shroud (or outboard shroud), and what are commonly called segments. The rotor is rotatably held about a central axis of rotat...
