The method comprises the following steps of: determining the weighing of each attribute of patients according to the provided patient information and the importance degree of each attribute in the information; then, matching with patient information in a cross index base and calculating the matching degree of the patients according to the weighing of each attribute; determining that the patients are objects for accurate matching when finding out the patients reaching a predefined matching value; determining or eliminating potential repeat objects according to the relativity among the predefined attributes if the potential repeat objects are not found out but exist; and finally determining that patients to be matched have unique matching object or no matching object in the cross index base. The system comprises an interface layer, a database layer and a data analysis layer. The invention has better practicability and can provide sufficiently-accurate matching scheme under the condition that the traditional system has no record of public identifiers.
