Embodiment Construction

[0060] figure 1Shown is a transport system 1 for transporting a spar 2 for the manufacture of a rotor blade for a wind turbine. The transport system 1 is shown as a transport spar 2 , however, it can also be used for transporting rotor blades. The rotor blade 2 is generally produced from a spar of frame construction. The spar is placed in a mold around which the rotor blade 2 is molded into its final shape. In the following, the present invention is mainly explained with respect to the spar 2, of course the structure is also applicable to the rotor blade.

[0061] The spar 2 has an end 3 adapted to be mounted in the hub of a wind turbine when the spar has been manufactured as a rotor blade. The other end 4 of the spar 2 is the tip, which tapers from the root end 3 to the tip.

[0062] The transport system 1 comprises a root frame structure 5 supporting the root end 3 of the spar 2 . The transport system also comprises a fixing device 6 adapted to fix and support the spar ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a transporting system used for transporting at least one vane or wing beam of a wind turbine. The vane or the wing beam is proved with a root end and a top end. The transporting system comprises a root frame structure and fixed equipment, wherein the root frame structure is used for holding the root end; and the fixed equipment is suitable for fixing and supporting the vane or the wing beam between the root end and the top end.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a transport system for transporting at least one blade or spar of a wind turbine. The blade or spar has a root end and a tip. The transport system comprises a root frame structure for holding the root end and fixing means adapted to fix and support the blade or spar between the root end and the tip. Background technique [0002] Transport of large components such as rotor blades of wind turbines is complicated, and wind turbines are often erected in remote locations, requiring the use of vehicles, boats, or even helicopters to transport the rotor blades. Since the transport unit has to be purpose built for this specific purpose, the cost per transport is high. [0003] When transporting blades across the countryside, the vehicle used is usually a truck with a truck bed attached to a trailer. This transport is usually accompanied by a pair of accompanying vehicles to ensure the safety of surrounding road users. [0004] The ...
