Abstract

A method and a user equipment for measuring signal quality and reporting measurement in carrier aggregation (CA) are provided in the present invention, wherein the method includes the following steps: the user equipment receives a measurement configuration sent from a base station which comprises a measurement object and sets a measurement event to assess the measurement object according to measurement reference component carriers; the user equipment determines the measurement reference component carriers and measures the measurement object and the determined measurement reference component carriers, and performs the measurement event assessment for the obtained measurement result by the measurement according to the set measurement event, so as to assess the signal quality of the measurement object.
