The invention discloses a system and a method for upgrading intelligent terminals in batches. The method comprises the following steps of: sending upgrading requests to a server by requesting terminals; monitoring the server to connect with upgrading terminals by a TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol) monitoring module, and confirming whether the number of connected terminals is equal to a maximum connecting value or not; if so, transferring a data list maintenance module, monitoring upgraded terminals to connect with the upgrading terminals, and confirming whether the number of connected terminals is smaller than the maximum connecting value or not; if so, constructing an upgrading file list and IP (Internet Protocol) address protocol data to give feedbacks to the requesting terminals; and requesting an upgrading file from the upgraded terminals by the requesting terminals for upgrading. In the system and the method, the method adopts the TCP/IP monitoring module to monitor the number of the connected terminals connected by the server and the upgraded terminals with the upgrading terminals; a protocol processing module is used for constructing corresponding protocol data and feeding back to the requesting terminals; and the mode of upgrading the requesting terminals lightens the pressure of the server and improves the success rate of terminal upgrading.
