The present invention relates to a rotary axle angle locating device and a cover type electronic device having the same. The rotary axle angle locating device used for a cover type electronic device that includes a cover body and a main body that are pivoted with each other and form opening-closing angle, comprises a first and a second pivot part. The first pivot part comprises: a first face, which includes a locating part by which a first path and a second path are separated; and a second face, which includes a return part by which a third path and a fourth path are separated. The second pivot part can move on the first, second, third and fourth paths, the opening-closing angle increases when the second pivot part moves from the first path to the second path and the opening-closing angle decreases when the second pivot part moves from the third path to the fourth path. When the second pivot part moves to the locating part, i.e., the locating position, via the first path, the opening-closing angle can not decrease; and the second pivot part can return to the first path from the third path via the return section. The rotary axle angle locating device enables the cover type electronic device to be maintained at an inverted V-shaped position.
