Abstract

The invention provides a method for limiting access and communication of machine type communication (MTC) equipment. In the method, when a mobility management unit receives an access request or a service request from the MTC equipment, according to the allowed time period of the MTC equipment, whether the existing time is in the allowed time period is judged; and if the existing time is not in the allowed time period, the access request or the service request from the MTC equipment is refused.
