The device comprises a round key generation module, a round key storage module, a data computing module and a key comparison module. In the device, according to the characteristic that the cipher algorithm is used for generating the round key as required, on one hand, on the basis of the fact that all submodules are not in a working state at all times, the submodules are switched on and off by time sharing; on the other hand, according to the judgment whether keys used by enciphered data and decrypted data are the same or not, the round key generated last time is selectively recycled, thereby the time for generating the round key is saved, and the system performance is also improved to a certain degree while reducing the power consumption; and the device can be switched between an ordinary mode and an acceleration mode through the control of a top control signal, thus downward compatibility can be realized. Proved by experiments, by using the technology, the power consumption can be reduced by 65 percent for an SMS4 algorithm, and meanwhile, the property is improved by one time at most.
