Abstract

The invention discloses a network access method and system. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring a preamble identification associated with a cell identification of a cell by user equipment when the user equipment enters the cell or is started in the cell; sending random access preamble information to a network, wherein the preamble identification associated with the cell identification is carried in the random access preamble information; and receiving a random access response returned by the network. By virtue of the method, indexes of random access delay and switching delay can meet the communication requirements on the situation of traffic field.
