The bottom blowing system for the converter comprises an air packet, a regulating valve, a flowmeter, and at least one stop valve, wherein the air packet is used for storing and conveying air; each stop valve is connected in parallel with an air inlet of the air packet through the corresponding switching pipeline; the regulating valve and the flowmeter are connected in series with an air outlet of the air packet through a bottom blowing pipeline; the flowmeter is used for measuring air flow at the air outlet of the air packet; the regulating valve is used for regulating the air flow of the air outlet of the air packet; the system also comprises a controller which is electrically connected with the regulating valve, the flowmeter and each stop valve; and the controller is used for controlling the switch-on and switch-off of each stop valve according to the air supply mode of air which is stored in advance, acquiring the air flow at the air outlet of the air packet, which is measured by the flowmeter, and regulating the regulating valve according to the air flow and the air supply mode.
