Abstract

The baicalein shows favorable treatment functions on an experimental allergic cerebrospinal meningitis model of a mouse and the treatment functions are achieved by inhibiting microglia 12/15 lipoxygenase in the central nervous system and adjusting the expression condition of a group of molecules with nerve protecting functions, such as FIZZ1 (foundininflammatoryzone1), MRC1 (mannose receptor, C type 1) and Arg1 (arginase 1) on the mRNA (messenger ribonucleic acid) level, thereby inducing high-level M2 type microglia in the central nervous system.
