Problems solved by technology

Although there is evidence that cardiac ischemia-reperfusion induces the release of NRG-1 and activates the NRG / ErbB signaling pathway in cardiomyocytes (Kuramochi Y et al., J Biol Chem. 2004; 279(49):51141-51147), NRG- The role of 1 in cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury is still not clearly elucidated

Abstract

The invention relates to application of neuregulin in the preparation of medicaments for preventing, treating or delaying ischemia reperfusion injuries of mammals, particularly human bodies. More particularly, the invention relates to a method for applying the neuregulin to prevent, treat or delay cardiac ischemia reperfusion injuries, and a composition for preventing, treating or delaying the cardiac ischemia reperfusion injuries. Specifically, although the neuregulin shows effects of improving cardiac muscle cell structures and improving cardiac functions in various cell experiments, animal experiments and clinical trials, whether the neuregulin influences the cardiac ischemia reperfusion injuries or not is not clear at present. Rat animal model experiments prove that the neuregulin can reduce infarction areas in the ischemia reperfusion process and prompt that the neuregulin can be used for preventing, treating or delaying the cardiac ischemia reperfusion injuries.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the use of neuregulin in the preparation of medicines for preventing, treating or delaying ischemia-reperfusion injury in mammals, especially in humans. More particularly, it relates to methods and compositions for preventing, treating or delaying cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury using neuregulin. Background technique [0002] Dredging blood vessels or revascularization after ischemia to reperfuse tissues with blood is originally the goal of doctors, and in fact, in most cases, good therapeutic effects can indeed be received. However, under certain conditions, reperfusion can cause more serious consequences. This is not only seen clinically, but also proved by a large number of animal experiments of different species (rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, dogs, pigs, etc.). This is an abnormal phenomenon, called reperfusion injury (ischemia reperfusion injury, IRI). [0003] Since Jennings first proposed the concept of myoc...
