A braking anticipation ability determining system for a vehicle, comprising an evaluation means to evaluate and grade a driver's braking anticipation ability, wherein the evaluation and grading depends on a measured time t between a driver's release of gas measure and a following driver's braking measure, wherein the driver's braking anticipation ability is determined in dependence of the result of a comparison of the time t and a reference value T representing at least one vehicle surrounding parameter, and at least one auxiliary brake value representing the use of the auxiliary brake, and that the system gives feedback to the driver of a preferred braking measure.
