Abstract

A front end assembly of a vehicle can include a frame member (12), a headlight assembly (16), a fender panel (14), and a stay (18). The fender panel (14) includes a nose (22) extending along and above the headlight assembly (16). The stay (18) is secured to the frame member (12) and includes an abutment surface (26) spaced from an inner surface (28) of the tender nose (22) by a gab (6). The stay (18) transfers an external force applied to the fender nose (22) to the frame member (12) when the nose (22) is deflected into contact with the stay (18) to limit deflection of the fender nose (22).
