Abstract

The invention discloses a device and a method for enhancing image resolution and aims at disclosing devices and methods for obtaining images with high resolution through synthesizing images with low resolution. The device comprises an image pick-up device, a storage module, an amplification module, a superposition module and an interpolation module which are sequentially connected, wherein both the superposition module and the interpolating module are connected with the storage module. The image synthesizing method comprises the followings steps: obtaining a plurality of images with low resolution through the image pick-up device; selecting one image with low resolution and amplifying the image as a bottom image; amplifying another image with low resolution to the same size as that of the bottom image as a superposition image, wherein the interpolation pixels of the bottom image and the superposition image are transparent pixels; carrying out image registration on the superposition image and the bottom image, and then carrying out superposition on the superposition image and the bottom image to obtain a new bottom image; and repeatedly carrying out amplification and superposition till all the images with low resolution are completely finished superposition, and obtaining a final image.
