Abstract

The invention discloses a cloud data storage system. The system comprises: a plurality of storage units, a plurality of processing units and a plurality of usage terminals. A plurality of processing units are connected to a plurality of storage units through an Internet. A plurality of usage terminals are connected to one of the processing units. Uploading files which are intended to be stored by any usage terminal are divided into a plurality of file blocks. An algorithm is used to respectively calculate characteristic values corresponding to the file blocks. Another algorithm uses the characteristic values to determine the storage units that can be stored in the file blocks. The each characteristic value individually corresponds to the each storage unit. During uploading and downloading file data, final storage positions and correlation information of transmission file recombination are determined by the characteristic values.
