Abstract

Disclosed are a single board running method and a system under an active-standby mode. Resource is divided into at least two portion of resource blocks capable of independent running, and the resource blocks are configured to the main single board and standby single board. The method includes the steps of running the main single board to enable communication between a first resource block and an external single board , running the standby single board to enable communication between a second resource block and the external single board; wherein the first resource block is different from the second resource block, and the standby single board when detects the failure of the main standby single board runs the second resource block; and storing a copy of the first resource block on a memory of the main single board to communicate with the external single board. The method greatly reduces redundancy, makes full use of hardware resource, and improves hardware performance. When one single board fails, the other single board can the runs the resources on the failed single board, thereby preventing cutting off of service and ensuring high reliability of a system.
