Abstract

The invention discloses a structure and a method for a 3D (Three Dimensional) video monitoring system capable of watching a video in a naked eye manner. The structure of the monitoring system comprises a left-path video camera, a right-path video camera, a 3D video processing host machine, a 3D video display terminal, a video storage hard disk matrix and a user control panel. After data of a video image is calculated to be a depth map via the 3D video processing host machine, then the data is processed in a layering manner according to a depth site and based on the depth map, and is sent to the display terminal. The 3D video monitoring system also comprises the hard disk matrix used for storing mass video data, a user operating platform used for receiving user commands and the display terminal used for displaying a 3D video image, wherein the display terminal is provided with four layers of image display screens, pixels of an image with four-layer depth are displayed at each layer, and the four layers of image display screens are composited to be a whole 3D video image capable of watching in a naked eye manner. The invention has a scheme which is superior to other 3D video watching that: 2D video data collected by double cameras is processed via an operation and is converted into a 3D video, and the 3D video is played on a display terminal provided with multilayer display screens, therefore, the 3D video can be achieved to be watched in a naked eye manner, 3D glasses are not needed to be worn, and an ordinary practice for video monitoring can be fit.
