Abstract

The invention relates to an optical device and collision prevention method of lens. The optical device comprises a lens, a driving unit, a controlling unit, a side frame and a boundary sensing unit. The lens comprises a metal lens barrel. The driving unit is connected with the lens and the lens is moved by the driving unit. The controlling unit is electrically connected with the driving unit to control the movement of the lens. The side frame is provided with an internal wall; the lens movement range is defined by the side frame. The boundary sensing unit is installed on the internal wall, which comprises an integrated circuit and a plurality of sensing components. The integrated circuit is electrically connected with the controlling unit. The sensing component is electrically connected with the integrated circuit. These sensing components are equidistantly arranged on the internal wall to surround the lens; while the metal lens barrel approaches to any sensing component, the capacitance of the sensing component is changed; the integrated circuit sends the position sensing signal towards the controlling unit according to the change of the capacitance of the sensing component; and the movement of the lens is controlled by the control unit according to the position sensing signal.
