Abstract

An instrument to be calibrated is placed in a shielding space formed by connecting the rear shielding case and a sub-tank body, and a first sensor and a second sensor which are arranged in a 180-degree opposite mode in the instrument are respectively close to one side of the sub-tank body and measured under the radioactive action of a homogenous calibration material. Therefore, sensitivity normalization of the instrument is calibrated, the instrument can be further placed in an another space formed by connecting two sub-tank bodies on a complete calibrating tank body so as to eliminate radioactivity influence of stratum on one side of the instrument to measurement of the sensors on the other side of the instrument, and conventional accurate position indicator (API) calibration can be performed.
