Embodiment Construction

[0037] exist figure 1 In , a first exemplary embodiment of a system 2 for cooling at least one heat-generating device 4 in an aircraft according to the invention is presented. As an example, a space 6 is shown in which the heat generating device 4 is accommodated. The design of this space 6 , which can be, for example, an avionics bay, does not form part of the present invention and is therefore not described in detail. It should be noted, however, that the heat generating device 4 comprises suitable means by which the heat can be dissipated to the coolant. These means may be any design of heat exchangers, cooling elements or cooling fins around which eg air flows.

[0038] The system 2 according to the invention also comprises a cooling device 8 which together with the supply line 10 and the return line 12 of the space 6 or heat generating device 4 forms a closed circulation system. The coolant circulates in the circulation system, and the coolant flows from the supply lin...

Abstract

A system (2) for cooling at least one heat-producing device (4) in an aircraft has at least one coolant circuit. A coolant absorbs heat from the heat-producing device (4), and dissipates heat via a heat dissipation apparatus (8) to the area surrounding the aircraft. A temperature spreading apparatus (14) reduces the temperature of the coolant in an inlet (10) of the coolant circuit, and increases the heat dissipation temperature of the heat dissipation apparatus (8) in comparison to the temperature of the coolant in an outlet (12) of the coolant circuit. This makes it possible to avoid the normal ram-air channels or systems which consume precooled air in the prior art, which make avionics cooling or the like difficult, particularly when the aircraft is on the ground on hot days.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 61 / 239,244, filed September 2, 2009, and German Patent Application No. 10 2009 039 814.7, filed September 2, 2009, the disclosures of which are incorporated herein by reference incorporated into this article. technical field [0003] The invention relates to a system for cooling at least one heat-generating device in an aircraft, a method for cooling at least one heat-generating device, an application of the system for cooling at least one heat-generating device in an aircraft and a system comprising at least one heat-generating device and at least one An aircraft that is used to cool the system of the heat-generating device. Background technique [0004] In larger aircraft of modern design there are increasingly incorporated many devices which during normal operation of the aircraft generate large amounts of heat which must be safely and reli...
