Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device of domain name resolution. The method comprises that a local domain name resolution service DNS server sends a domain resolution request to a network side DNS server, and receives a whole list of IP addresses which is transmitted by the network side DNS server; that the local DNS server selects in-network IP addresses from the whole list of IP addresses; that the local DNS server, according to the in-network IP addresses, inquiries an IP address list which is received from a management center of the Internet data center IDC, and acquires capability information of the in-network IP addresses; and that the local DNS server selects an in-network IP address according to the capability information of the in-network IP addresses. In embodiments of the invention, the local DNS server receives the whole list of IP addresses from the network side DNS server, and sends the in-network IP addresses which are selected from the list to a subscriber terminal, so that the subscriber terminal can visit an optimal site.
