Abstract

The invention discloses a positioning system and method. The positioning system comprises a plurality of fixed lamps for emitting light signals, wherein the different fixed lamps can emit the different light signals, and the different light signals correspond to different encoded information; a positioning device which comprises a first receiver, a first processor and a transmitter, wherein the first receiver is used for receiving the light signals, the first processor is connected to the first receiver and used for processing the light signals to get decoded information corresponding to the encoded information, and the transmitter is connected to the first processor and used for transmitting radio wave signals which correspond to the encoded information; a second receiver which is used for receiving the radio wave signals; and a host machine which is connected with the second receiver and used for determining address information of a positioning device in a map according to the decoded information corresponding to radio waves, wherein the corresponding relation between the map, the decoded information and the address information is stored in the host machine. The accurate positioning effect can be achieved through the positioning system disclosed by the invention.
