Embodiment Construction

[0012] Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) provides an architecture for monitoring the business activities of business processes. Part of the architecture is an execution layer that collects events emitted by applications and then computes events of interest and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) based on the intent modeled by the business user. Raw events emitted by application components are modeled as event streams, where each event has a computed lifecycle. Streams also have the notion of a current time increment (CTI), which can be inferred or calculated.

[0013] In one embodiment, an application programming interface (API) is used by applications to emit events. Once events are emitted, event processors collect these events and transform them into event streams depending on the KPI of interest.

Abstract

The application relates to a business action monitoring operation time program and discloses a system and method used for monitoring business application. Data is provided from application program interface (API) of a monitored application to a collecting time program. The collecting time program collects data based on data collecting model. Present time increment is allocated for the collected data. The collected data is used as event data stream and provided for event processing service. The event processing service executes one or more inquiry on the data stream. The inquired results are provided to data storage and/or a user interface. Data collected model is created according to data collecting simple file and inquiry is created according to an observation model.

Description

technical field [0001] This application relates to business activity monitoring applications, and more particularly to providing a business activity monitoring runtime. Background technique [0002] A business activity monitoring (BAM) application includes one or more business models, which may include process models, analysis models, rules, and the like. These business models are created and maintained using various modeling tools by which the models can be implemented using various existing applications. Traditionally, a business application includes one or more related models and optionally partial or full implementations of the corresponding models. Additionally, business applications may undergo a governance step in which their constituent models and changes to such models are reviewed and approved or rejected by appropriate authorities, enforcement agencies, etc. After approval, the business applications are published, and the constituent models of the published busi...
