The invention discloses a webpage optimization system, which allows the user to generate the webpage which is optimized to be used together with different user devices. In one embodiment of the webpage optimization system, a plurality of main pages and page layouts for generating the webpages are defined, each main page defines the shared general area of each page of the website, and each page layout defines the contents and the arrangement of the contents on the webpage. The webpage optimization system also defines a plurality of channels and associates the main pages and the page layouts with the channels. Each channel is associated with the user device. The webpage optimization system marks the component of the user agent string of the webpage request, such as the user device for generating the request, and the browser for generating the request, and in response to the webpage request, the main pages and the page layouts associated with the channels of the component marks of the webpage requests are used to show the webpage.
