The method comprises the steps that: the digital television terminal sends time telling advertisement request information to a front-end server; the digital television terminal receives time telling advertisement response information sent by the front-end server, wherein the time telling advertisement response information carries a material path with a currently effective advertisement position which corresponds to an ID (identity); the digital television terminal obtains a time telling advertisement material from the front-end server according to the received material path; and when a time telling advertisement needs to be broadcast, the digital television terminal broadcasts the time telling advertisement material obtained from the front-end server and time information locally obtained from the digital television terminal. The method, the equipment and the system which are provided by the embodiment of the invention have the advantages that the advertisement material is sent to the digital television terminal only when the request information automatically sent to the digital television terminal is received, and meanwhile, the program broadcasting effect cannot be influenced.
