The invention discloses a parameter negotiation method in video communication, a device and a video communication terminal. the method comprises a video transmitting capability list of a video communication calling terminal and a video communication receiving capability list of the video communication calling terminal are received by a video communication called terminal, wherein the video transmitting capability list and the video receiving capability list are transmitted by a video communication calling terminal; video transmitting parameters of the video communication calling terminal are found in the video transmitting capability list, wherein the video transmitting parameters of the video communication calling terminal are matched with the video receiving capability of the video communication called terminal. Video receiving parameters of the video communication calling terminal are found in the video communication receiving capability list, wherein the video receiving parameters of the video communication calling terminal are matched with the video transmitting capability of the video communication called terminal. The video transmitting parameters and the video receiving parameters which are found are fed back to the video communication calling terminal. After the condition that video parameters are received by the video communication calling terminal is confirmed, video streaming is mutually transmitted by the video communication called terminal and the video communication calling terminal through video parameters after being negotiated. The parameter negotiation method in video communication, the device and the video communication terminal can improve video communication quality through asymmetric negotiation.
