Embodiment Construction

[0054] figure 1 A top view of an aircraft, such as passenger aircraft 1 , is shown including a cockpit 2 and a passenger cabin 12 . The cockpit and the passenger cabin are separated by an armoured wall 3, and an armoured door 4 is arranged in the center of the armoured wall 3. Armored doors allow the crew to enter the cabin 12 from the cockpit 2 and vice versa, locking the doors if necessary to protect access.

[0055] The cockpit 2 comprises an onboard instrument panel with navigation instruments 11 arranged under the canopy, and two driver's seats 8 and 9 separated by a console 7 . Also arranged in the cockpit are some seats 10a, 10b and a folding seat 10c.

[0056] It can be noted that, in this arrangement, the opening of the door 4 takes place towards the central aisle of the passenger cabin. However, opening the door 4 requires removal of at least one row of passenger seats. It is also known to provide a toilet 6 with a door 5 .

Abstract

The invention relates to a secure access airlock enables the communication between several rooms of an aircraft, the secure airlock being installed in an area of the aircraft between a first room and at least one second room, characterized in that it comprises two mobile partitions (30, 31) provided in the form of portions of concentric cylinders, each of the partitions being capable of being moved, separately from one another, about a common axis (41), so as to provide a single opening (24, 36) therebetween which makes it possible to access either of the rooms, the two partitions being capable of moving over two concentric cylinders having different diameters.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to safe access gates (sas) for aircraft cockpits. The invention also relates to an aircraft equipped with such an access gate. Background technique [0002] In the prior art, it is known to use armoured doors which control access from the cockpit of a passenger aircraft to the passenger cabin in order to protect the crew from malicious acts on the part of the passengers. However, such a system cannot prevent malicious individuals from intruding into the cockpit when the crew members exit the cockpit. [0003] Generally, it is useful to be able to improve safety in the cockpit, or more generally when it is desired to go from a first location of an aircraft to at least one second location. It would also be useful to have a solution with safe access to at least one second location of the aircraft from the first location of the aircraft, which is compact and does not unduly encroach on the available space in one of the locat...
