Structure of portable multimedia data input/output processor and method for driving the same

Potable multimedia terminal which is small and consumes low power, can process a large quantity of multimedia data such as video and audio data. Portable multimedia data input/output processor can be made smaller by using a pen as an input device and can also process a large quantity of multimedia data at a high speed by adopting a PCI bus as a local bus of a system. To retrieve, compress, and decompress multimedia data, main components of this portable multimedia data input/output processor are comprised of audio codec for compressing and decompressing audio data, video codec controller for compressing and decompressing video data, and multimedia processor for transmitting audio data to wireless communication controller and video data to video codec controller and to graphic processor. The method for retrieving multimedia data includes steps of receiving data, de-interleaving received data into audio, video, and graphic data, decompressing the data, and outputting the data to output device. The method for compressing data includes steps of inputting video data to video codec controller, compressing video and audio data at video codec controller and audio codec, interleaving the compressed data, and transmitting them to a remote system. The steps to decompress data are in reverse to the steps to compress data.

Imaging device, signal processing method on solid-state imaging element, digital camera and controlling method therefor and color image data generating method

An imaging device for imaging an object to generate a color image data, comprising: a solid-state imaging element comprising: a photoelectric conversion layer laminated above a semiconductor substrate; photoelectric conversion elements comprising at least two kinds of photoelectric conversion elements aligned on the semiconductor substrate for detecting colors different from that to be detected by the photoelectric conversion layer; and a signal reading circuit formed on the semiconductor substrate for reading out color signals according to signal charge accumulated in the photoelectric conversion elements and signal charge generated in the photoelectric conversion layer; and a color signal generating unit for generating a color signal constituting one-pixel data in the color image data on the basis of signal charge accumulated in a first photoelectric conversion element corresponding the one-pixel data among the photoelectric conversion elements and signal charge accumulated in at least one second photoelectric conversion element, adjacent to the first photoelectric conversion element, for detecting the same color as that of the first photoelectric conversion element.

The present invention provides an absorbent article, such as a sanitary napkin or catamenial napkin, wherein the absorbent article has a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction, the absorbent article has: a) a liquid-permeable top layer, wherein the top layer has an extensibility in lateral direction of at least 30% to 70% at 4N/50 mm, b) a liquid-impermeable backing layer laminated to the top layer, wherein the backing layer has a higher extensibility in lateral direction than in longitudinal direction and the extensibility in lateral direction is at least between 5% and 40% at 4N/50 mm, and c) an absorbent core positioned between the top layer and the backing layer, wherein the absorbent core has a plurality of non-linear slits and/or linear slits at an acute angle relative to the longitudinal direction through the absorbent core. The absorbent core may be a variety of materials, however one particular example is an absorbent core with a layer of material having a basis weight of between 20 g/m2 to 1000 g/m2 and is an airlaid fiber layers, coform fiber layers, meltblown fiber layers or laminates thereof and laminates of airlaid fiber layers, coform fiber layers or meltblown fiber layers or laminates thereof with a nonwoven support. The absorbent core generally will have a ratio of tensile strength in longitudinal direction and resistance to tear in lateral direction has a value in the range from 3.5:1 to 6:1. The invention further provides a punching die for forming slits in an nonwoven absorbent core material and a process for forming an absorbent article using said punching die.
