A system and method for computerized searching for items of interest contained in visual media assets, such as a movie or video, stores digital tag information for tagged visual media assets which includes for each tag a time code for a representative image frame, an address code for the storage location of a captured image-still of the frame, and one or more keywords representing the item(s) of interest or their characteristics. When a search request is entered with keywords for items of interest, the search result lists entries from tags containing those keywords, and can also display the captured image-stills (or thumbnail photos thereof) as a visual depiction of the search results. The search service enables advertisers and vendors to bid on rights to link their advertising and other information displays to the search results. The search service can also be used for playback of clips from media assets to viewers on a video viewing website or on a networked playback device.

This invention provides a hybrid nano-filament composition for use as an electrochemical cell electrode. The composition comprises: (a) an aggregate of nanometer-scaled, electrically conductive filaments that are substantially interconnected, intersected, or percolated to form a porous, electrically conductive filament network comprising substantially interconnected pores, wherein the filaments have an elongate dimension and a first transverse dimension with the first transverse dimension being less than 500 nm (preferably less than 100 nm) and an aspect ratio of the elongate dimension to the first transverse dimension greater than 10; and (b) micron- or nanometer-scaled coating that is deposited on a surface of the filaments, wherein the coating comprises an anode active material capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium ions and the coating has a thickness less than 20 μm (preferably less than 1 μm). Also provided is a lithium ion battery comprising such an electrode as an anode. The battery exhibits an exceptionally high specific capacity, an excellent reversible capacity, and a long cycle life.

This invention provides a process for producing a hybrid nano-filament composition for use in a lithium battery electrode. The process comprises: (a) providing a porous aggregate of electrically conductive nano-wires that are substantially interconnected, intersected, physically contacted, or chemically bonded to form a porous network of electrically conductive filaments, wherein the nano-wires have a diameter or thickness less than 500 nm; and (b) depositing an electro-active coating onto a surface of the nano-wires, wherein the electro-active coating is capable of absorbing and desorbing lithium ions and the coating has a thickness less than 10 μm, preferably less than 1 μm. The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode having a negative active material, and a non-aqueous electrolyte; characterized in that said negative active material contains composite particle (C), which has silicon-containing particle (A) and electronic conductive additive (B), and carbon material (D), wherein the weight of said electronic conductive additive (B) falls within the range of 0.5 wt. % to 60 wt. % to the weight of said composite particle (C). The negative active material contains silicon which is capable of performing high discharge capacity, so that a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a large discharge capacity can be obtained. A desulfurization method for a gas oil which includes a step of removing sulfur compounds contained in a gas oil distillate product by the adsorption with an adsorptive desulfurization agent formed of a fibrous active carbon and provided in an adsorption tower (1), and a desorption regeneration step of washing the used adsorptive desulfurization agent with an aromatic solvent to regenerate the desulfurization agent. The method allows the production of gas oil being satisfactorily freed of sulfur content at relatively low equipment and operation costs over a long period of time, and in the method, difficult-to-remove sulfur compounds, such as 4,6-DMDBT, and polycyclic aromatic compounds having two or more rings are selectively removed.

The prepared lithium ion composite cathode material takes a layered lithium-rich manganese-based Li[Lia(NixCoyMnz)]O2 as a core material, takes spinel nickel manganese acid lithium LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 as a shell material; a coprecipitation method is employed to obtain a core-shell precursor, the core-shell precursor and the lithium source are uniformly mixed and calcined to obtain the spinel nickel manganese acid lithium and layered lithium-rich manganese-based composite cathode material with the core-shell structure. According to the invention, the layered lithium-rich manganese-based is taken as the core material, and the spinel nickel manganese acid lithium is taken as the shell material; under the prerequisite that material gram capacity is kept, material structural stability is increased, material cycle, multiplying power and safety performances are improved, function composite and complementation of the core material and the shell layer material can be realized, and the problem that high capacity and high security can not be achieved simultaneously is solved. The composite cathode material has the advantages of simple process and obviously increased performance.
